Welcome
The Q Arts Corporation is newly formed non-profit organization born from the shell of The Q Cafe. The Q Cafe opened in 2007 as a cafe dedicated to the arts and music scene in Worcester, Ma. Within months of opening an amazing thing happened. A sense of community within the cafe was established. People learned to rely on one another, and help one another in all their endeavors. Artists had a place to meet and acquire creative inspiration. Musicians had a sounding board of people to give advice about any particular song they were working on. People from all walks of life met and built a hub of creative minds.
In the summer of 2009, Emilie Poulin Owner of The Q Cafe made a decision to turn the cafe in to a non-profit organization for the arts to encourage the growth of this community. Out of this The Q Arts Corporation was born. The goals for The Q are to grow as a community center for the Arts. Currently we are operating out of the small cafe that was once more than enough space for us. With our new aspirations, we need to expand to a larger location, and to do this we are running a lot of fundraisers, many of which will be occurring at The QVCC. All the fundraisers at the QVCC are also going to be opportunities for us to run food drives for the QVCC's food pantry.
